She graduated from Sunset High School and the University of Oregon and worked in provider relations for Providence Health Systems for more than 10 years. She moved to Fairview in September. In 2001, she married Brian K. LaFavor. Survivors include her husband; father, Leslie A. Brill; sister, Catherine Brill; and brother, Chris Brill. I read this week that we lost another classmate. A gathering will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, in the Tigard home of her brother for Jennifer Lynn LaFavor, who died Feb. 28 of stomach cancer at age 39.

Jennifer Lynn Brill was born Dec. 18, 1968, in Sterling Heights, Mich., and moved to Portland in 1983. She graduated from Sunset High School and the University of Oregon and worked in provider relations for Providence Health Systems for more than 10 years. She moved to Fairview in September. In 2001, she married Brian K. LaFavor.

Survivors include her husband; father, Leslie A. Brill; sister, Catherine Brill; and brother, Chris Brill.

I thought some of you would want to know that Jennifer lost her battle with cancer this week. I was not a close friend of hers but read her obituary on the Oregonian. My thoughts and prayers go out to her entire family. Here is a blast from your past! This is TODD SANFORD from the class of '86. I sat next to you in band (the 3's and lower crowd ). I was just in Portland over the weekend to surprise ROB MARSSDORF ('86, water polo) on his 40th Birthday. MATT POWELL ('86, trombone, water polo) was there and we talked to GAIL DUGGAN ('87, clarinet). We also talked to ROGER WOBIG ('86, trombone, water polo). It was a blast talking about the past. Matt even talked about you and all the crazy things we did in band. Rob even had a video, yes VHS tape, that had water polo, pep band and marching band footage! CRAZY! WOW! And just recently, DAN DEVOE ('86, trombone, water polo, Ford Pinto of doom) was in my town for business. What a crazy world!!! I live in Omaha, Nebraska with my wife AJ and our 2 awesome daughters Ellie & Emma! I went to school in Nebraska, got my BS in Broadcasting. Hosted a music video show, interviewed tons of bands and had a blast for 10 years. Also worked for the PBS station at the University of Nebraska doing more television, docs and studio work. Moved to San Diego and worked in tv news. Got burned out in the 2003 fires and moved back to Omaha! Now I am a stay at home dad (yes, Mr. Mom) and I still do freelance television jobs.
