Moonchild no more!
Thursday, February 22nd, 2007Hey everyone,
What a nice surprise, so glad to hear that there will be a reunion. I can’t believe it has been 20 years. Am I really that old? maybe some of us are aging backwards, by the looks of some of the photos here. I never had kids, still haven’t quite grown up yet.
Hey any guys from Search out there? I never got to know many of you, but I do remember to “Think Link!”
peace,
Lisa Mann
Hello from Texas
Thursday, February 22nd, 2007Hello to all,
I can’t believe it’s already been another 10 years. How time flies. At the time of the 10 year reunion I had just finished my Freshman year at Portland State after spending 9 years in the Navy. Since the reunion, here is a little of what has happened: transferred to Oregon State and graduated with a BSEE in 2000. Married my beautiful wife Hanna in 1999, had our first son, Peter, in 2000, had our second son, Matthew, in 2001 (I delievered him on the Highway 500 on ramp to I-205 in Vancouver, Washington, on November 11, 2001 at 5:50 in the morning, what an experience that was
). After graduating from OSU, went to work for BPA for 4 years, then moved to Austin, Texas, in April of 2004 (to be closer to Hanna’s brother and his family) and I have been working for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) since. I am currently finishing up my first year (out of two) at the University of Texas at Austin in the Executive MBA program. The attached picture is of the family (and the only one I have on my computer here at work) the night before the Sun Bowl in El Paso this past December (What a game!). So it’s been a pretty busy 10 years. I know I will have at least one class this summer and we are looking for a house, so I’m not sure if I will make it to the reunion. I will try if I have the time. If anyone is interested in getting in touch my email is julius_horvath@yahoo.com.
Take care,
Julius
Hello from Chicago (Kris Pierce)
Wednesday, February 21st, 2007Hi everyone! I’m living in Chicago with my husband, Mike, of 7 years, and three wonderful kids; Emily – 5, Ryan – 3, and Megan – 2. I work at Aon Financial Services Group as a Senior Broker in the management liability area. My hubby is a Chicago police officer. All of that keeps me extremely busy (aren’t we all???), but I’m excited to see everyone at the reunion in August.
Junie B Jones!- Kim Noall (Downing)
Saturday, February 17th, 2007My daughter and I had a special surprise this afternoon at the NW Childrens Theatre musical production of Junie B Jones, Monkey Business (for those of you that are unfamiliar with Junie B, it is a childrens book series of a very funny, outspoken kindergartener). As we were being seated, I quickly recognized the man behind the counter volunteering to sell refreshments as our very own Matt Haroldson! His darling–and extremely talented–eight-year-old is staring as Miss Junie B. Jones herself! She does an outstanding job! I’m not sure how much longer it’s in the theatre, but if you get a chance to see it, it’s a wonderful production and all the kids are extremely talented. Amelia is now proud to tell everyone that I know Junie B’s dad! Caroline Haroldson is a super star in our house!
Greetings from Leslie in Florida
Saturday, February 17th, 2007Twenty years…The short version. Tried my hand at low paying jobs. Joined the Army. Traveled a lot:) Moved back to Oregon in ’95. Moved to Tampa, Florida in ’98 where Prince Charming found me on the beach. Went to college. Got married. Had 2 babies, Elizabeth 5 and Evelyn 2. I teach pre-school and breathe when I have time. I’m the only child out of 6 who does not live within 10 miles of Sunset HS. I make it back about 4 times a year and would move back in a minute.  However, my husband reminds me that he met me here and didn’t drag me to Florida kicking and screaming (it’s really HOT here). There is little I would change about the last 20 years except I would have taken cooking lessons. That’s about it. Hope everyone is happy and healthy. And since I’m going to see you all in a few months I have to go and throw out all the Valentines’ chocolate in my house and start my diet. Bye. e-mail Leslie_Sunshine@yahoo.com
Matt is here!!

Crud!! I just noticed the dates were set. We will be at Dunefest at that time.
Hello there!
Monday, February 12th, 2007Hi! My name is Rachel Houghton (formerly Jordan). I missed out on our 10 year reunion, so I’ve been combing the reunion sites to make sure I didn’t miss out on 20! Most of you probably don’t remember me, but I was a computer geek back then, and still am now. I’ve worked as a technical writer for the last 10 years, writing hardware and software documentation. Mostly on staff, but I was freelance for 3 years. I’ve been married since 1999, and we have three cats. We just moved to Hillsboro in December 2006, but I haven’t moved out of state since graduation.
You can check out my blog at http://scrapbooker.blogspot.com/ I’m sure it will probably be boring, but it has picture of our new house throughout the entire construction process. Otherwise, if you google my current name, I’m the one who is involved with the Society for Technical Communication.
Hello from Chuck Currie
Saturday, February 10th, 2007My name is Chuck Currie and twenty years ago I was one of your classmates. These days I live in the Grant Park neighborhood of northeast
Portland with my wife Liz and our twin daughters, Frances and Katherine (age two and a half). I’m an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (www.ucc.org) and currently serve Parkrose Community United Church of Christ (www.parkroseucc.org) as the interim minister. Most of my work since high school has focused around issues of homelessness, poverty and civil rights for all regardless of their color, religion, orientation, or income. We have lots of family photos on our website at www.chuckandliz.com. Life with twins keeps us busy. I hope to see you all at the reunion.Â

What’s Happening!
Wednesday, February 7th, 2007Here you can post interesting, fun things you want to share…for example, if you are running the Shamrock Run or the Bridge to Bridge and you want to know who else will be there…or if you want people to know about a neighborhood garage sale…or perhaps your band is playing and you want us all to come (could happen)! Whatever it is, we want to hear about it!
